On June 17 2022 г., at 8.30 (CEST), an international conference „Future Opportunities for Privacy Minded Enterprises” will be held at the Thon Hotel EU, on Rue de la Loi 75, Brussels, Belgium.
The event is organised within the framework of the SMEDATA II Project, in partnership with the Commission for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Bulgaria, APIS Europe JSC, The Union of Bulgarian Jurists, Ernst & Young Bulgaria, European Women Lawyers Association – Bulgaria, and Roma Tre University.
The conference is dedicated to the implementation of the recent developments of EU data protection legislation within enterprises. The expected audience is representatives of the EU-wide SMEs organizations, policy makers, lobbyists, and representatives of the National Permanent Representation (experts especially dedicated to the economic and legislative matters), as well as representatives of EU institutions.
Some of the Speakers will be Ventsislav Karadjov, Chairman of the Commission for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Bulgaria and Vice-Chair of the European Data Protection Board, and Prof. Guerino Fares – Roma Tre University. The European Women Lawyers Association will be represented by Katharina MILLER, President of the European Women Lawyers Association. Prof. Marco Leone, representative of the Italian data protection authority will talk about the perspective of a DPA after four years of GDPR. Vasil Vasilev, DPO of APIS Europe, will present the updated version of the innovative mobile application „GDPR in Your Pocket” available now for desktop computers using Windows 10/11.
Presentations will also be given by lecturers from The Union of Bulgarian Jurists, Member of the Board of the European Women Lawyers Association, and Commission for Personal Data Protection.
